HISTORY & BACKGROUND
  • 1951: An area of 627 acres in four villages i.e. Chak No. 19/3-R, 20/3-R and 49/3-R of Tehsil Haroonabad District Bahawalnagar was  handed over to Agriculture Deptt.
  • 1973: The farm was transferred to the Punjab Livestock & Dairy Development Board.
  • 1975: The management was taken over by the Directorate of Livestock Farms.
  • 1978: Functioning as Livestock Experiment Station
  •  2005: Financial and Administrative control with BRI, Pattoki District Kasur

OBJECTIVES
  • Maintenance & development of Nili-Ravi Buffalo & Sipli Sheep
  • Production and raising of buffalo calves as future breeding bulls
  • Determination of production potential of Nili-Ravi Buffalo and Sipli Sheep under Farm condition and their  improvement through Research applications
  • Supply of superior breeding males to SPUs and private breeders
